Her story is the really fascinating part. She was deprived of oxygen at birth and has suffered from a learning disability since.
She was bullied and beaten as a kid and turned to music as her escape. A case of God bringing good out of evil I'd say.

I have to say I am tired of hearing how a "48 year old spinster, never been kissed, somewhat frumpy looking" turns out to be a worthwhile human being after all. As if being 48, single, and not beautiful somehow disqualifies her. Grow up folks.
