Retaking Our Modern Cities
This essay by our collegue Stephen Heiner at TrueRestoration is a powerful one about reclaiming American - and eventually - the world's cities for a pro-Distributist future one block at a time.
Far too many, when hearing about Distributism for the first time, think it is meant only for the rural areas of the world. Not so. We can take back our cities and their neighborhoods from both the Socialist central planners and the Monopoly Capitalist materialists. We can make our cities more livable without falling for the blandishments of the "Eco-Marxist" crowd or the "Big Business-is-our-friend" crowd.
As the cliche goes "Rome wasn't built in a day." Neither will recreating our cities as Distributist enclaves. But it can be done today...starting with us.
