Obama comes here to Kentucky for the bicentennial at Abe Lincoln's birthplace. The first African-American president will no doubt give a memorable speech at the birthplace of the Great Emancipator. The reality is, however, that, unlike the vast majority of African-Americans, Pres't. Obama has zero slave ancestors but has slave-owning ancestors who lived just up the road from Abe's birthplace. Only in America.

Actually the early Irish immigrants had less value than slaves. They were abused but couldn't be sold.
