One of the more interesting things about the Mondragon experience is that it is an experience. That is, it is not an abstract ideology that answers all questions in advance, but rather a set of principles which allow the members to interpret the economic and social orders in terms of justice, and to constantly modify their practices to account for ever-changing conditions. It is a way of constant learning, constant adaptation, while always remain true to a set of inviolable principles. May we all live our lives that way!

Hi John,

There is a lot of material in Spanish at the Mondragon site, including a free PDF of a book on Fr. Arizmendiarrieta's life and philosophy. The book is called, "El hombre cooperativo" (The Cooperative Man).

Due to the lack of information in English, I think I will read this book (and other material) and try to provide readers of the Review with a snapshot of his work.
