Long Island Homeowners Need Your Help!
Thanks to our colleagues at The ChesterBelloc Mandate, we have an article from Mary Ellen Walsh on 30 July. The link to it is HERE.
It is about a group of middle-class homeowners in a town in Long Island, NY, who live in a well-maintained trailer park. It is a mixture of residents, from senior citizens to families with children. The new landlord of the park wants them out, in order to develop the land for businesses and such. Low-cost housing is scarce in this affluent part of New York State, and the families want to stay put.
Our friends at The Society For Distributism is working with these families to help them acquire the land. They need a lawyer willing to work pro bono to help them in this endeavor. If you can help the Society in this manner, please Google their address and help them and these families out.
You'll be helping to protect these families from losing their homes, as well as help to defend small private property ownership by the many. Many thanks in advance.
