Czech Anti-EU Resistance
This report, brought to us by the libertarian website Antiwar.com, comes from Dinah A. Spritzer for the Prague Post from the Czech Republic.
Many in Brussels are frustrated that the leading forces opposing the socialist European Union becoming a "superstate" are coming from the Czechs. Weirdly, according to the article, it is an coalition of "six communists, two populist independents, and nine members of the so-called British-style conservative Civic Democrats".
With increasing opposition from the general public in Europe toward the EU - especially from the Czechs, Danes, Poles and British - the "establishment press" there are trying to weaken the Euro-skeptic opposition.
We at the Review congratulate the opposition from the Czech parliamentarians in Brussels. With the EU renouncing its Christian - especially Traditional Catholic - heritage, embracing socialism and the Sexual Revolution, the resistance to the proposed "European Constitution" must increase and strengthen. It is better that there be a Europe of many small nations - free, pro-family, Distributist and neighborly - rather than a Europe that is one grey and soulless monolith.
Again, congratualtions to the Euro-skeptic Czech MEPs, as well as their counterparts in the other nations of Europe. Keep up the good fight, and learn more about Distributism.
