For the particulars of the trading system I use Joseph Stiglitz's <I>Globalization and Its Discontents</I>. Also useful, if somewhat out-of-date are David Korten's <I>When Corporations Rule the World</I> and Edward Luttwak's <I>Turbo-Capitalism</I>. But the most interesting recent volume might be Naomi Klein's <I>No Logo</I>.
